The Dog Pound
My name is Chillpaw. I am a freelance cartoonist in northern New Jersey. I have been drawing and creating all my life, as long as I can remember, anyway. I worked for King Features Syndicate in New York City for 11 years as a Comic Artist/Editor, and now I freelance from home. Most of my artwork involves animals of some kind, mostly dogs. We have two now, a German Shepherd and a Beagle, and two cats.
I started making Canine Car Guardians in the fall of 2008. I sold them on Ebay very successfully for a while and then decided to start offering them here on my own website. But I still list them on Ebay, in fact sometimes I list breeds that are not available here so you might want to check.
The Car Guardians are all originals, and since each one is made by hand, no two come out exactly alike.
I really enjoy making them, and if you give one of them a home, I'm sure you'll be happy!
I do special requests (particular colors/spots/markings, etc.) Or, if you don't see the breed of Car Guardian you would like on this website, you can go to my Contact Us page and tell me what you'd like, and if I can do it, I will! There will be a small surcharge for specially requested dogs.
